1. What ad did you find most
entertaining, and why? (You should be specific and give details here – what was
the product and what about the ad made it so entertaining to you?)
I
found the Heinz wiener comercial most entertaining. It was a topic in a lot of peoples
conversations tha night and the day the day after becauseeveryone enjoyed it so
much. The ad was for Heinz ketchup and
had wiener dogs running up to the people dressed in catch up because they
needed each other. The main thing that
made the ad so entertaining were the cute dogs running in slow motion in an
open field.
2. What commercial did you find the most
dull/boring, and why?
The
Envy comercial was the most dull and boring because there was not much going on
that would usually want to make me turn my head and watch the commercial that
came on tv because of the voice’s tone and no action. Also you could tell that they tried to make
it funny but it wasn’t funny at all.
3. What about your favorite ad made it
most effective?
The
Heinz ketchup commecial was my favorite ad.
What made it most effective was that the dogs were cute and the slow
motion aspect of them running the the ketchup in the open field made it even
better. The emotional people and music
added humor the the ad as if they couldn’t live without each other, but really
they were just talking about ketchup and hot dogs.
4. What about your least favorite ad made
it ineffective?
The
Persil ProClean ad was very ineffective.
It was a 15 second ad that simply said that it was better than all of
the others because it “beat every single detergant tested”. That gives us no reason why or no evidence
that it beat the others, and we don’t know how they tested it or in what way it
“beat” the others. The ad would not make
anyone go out and buy the detergant, because it gave the viewers no reason to.
5. Did either of your commercials
(favorite or least favorite) feature any famous people? Do you think that helped? Why or why not?
The
Heinz ketchup commercial did not feature any famous people. The Persil detergant commercial featured Peter
Hermann, to try and add humor to the commercial. The humor may of worked for some viewers who
know a lot about Peter Hermann, but Peter Hermann wouldn’t really stand out to most
people watching the superbowl commercials.
